Resuscitation Training Department
The Resuscitation Officers are accredited Resuscitation Council (UK) Instructors and provide training in emergency life support skills for hospital staff. This includes recognising and managing the deteriorating patient, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using emergency equipment. They also provide advice on resuscitation policies and equipment for the hospital.
The Department also runs the following nationally recognised courses – Immediate Life Support, Advanced Life Support, European Paediatric Life Support and Newborn Life Support. Course dates are shown on the Resuscitation Council web site www.resus.org.uk
