Big C Cancer Support and Information Centre

The Big C Cancer Support and Information Centre is in the grounds of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The Centre is a warm and welcoming place where anyone affected by cancer can go for support, information and respite. It is staffed by Big C cancer specialist nurses, palliative care specialist nurse, health education officer and supported by numerous loyal volunteers.

The Centre is situated close to the hospital’s Colney Centre, with the nearest carpark being K.

The Purpose of the Centre

The Big C Centre at the NNUH is open to those diagnosed with cancer and those who care for them. It is somewhere to sit, reflect and relax, away from the hospital and clinical environment.

The Big C is open from Monday – Friday, 9am – 4:30pm.  You are welcome to drop in if you are affected by cancer in any way.

Many of the Big C’s services are still available over the phone and online, so you can access our support from the comfort of your home wherever you are in the county.  This includes:

• General cancer support and advice via our telephone support line 0800 092 7640 (free to call Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, excluding bank holidays)
• Online Support Groups
• Welfare Advice with Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District via telephone or video call
• Look Good Feel Better online sessions
• Big C Counselling service
• Big C’s Get Moving gentle exercise programme
• Big C’s Nourish & Nurture programme
• The centre is open on the last Saturday of each month for visitors between 9:30am-3:30pm
