Code of Practice for the Prevention of Health Care Acquired Infections

This Code of Practice has placed a number of requirements on NHS Trusts. These are to:

•  ‘provide and maintain a clean and appropriate environment for healthcare’, and
•  make ‘a schedule of cleaning frequencies publicly available’.

The Trust has agreed documented cleaning standards and frequencies with its service partners Serco and Norfolk County Services.
