Research Interests

Dr Garg’s research interests focus on the development and translation of novel imaging methods in cardiovascular medicine to improve patient care, especially using heart MRI. He is particularly interested in the use of heart MRI to study cardiovascular flow, haemodynamics and cardiac remodelling. His research has led to the development of new methods for diagnosing and monitoring heart disease and has also helped to improve our understanding of the underlying mechanisms of heart disease. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed papers in leading scientific journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences.

  • Dr Garg is a faculty member of several national/international cardiovascular societies involved in training and teaching.
  • He has contributed to several books/chapters in cardiac imaging.
