Our IBD Nurse Specialist team includes:

• 1 Lead IBD nurse specialist
• 3 IBD nurse specialists
• 2 IBD Support nurses

What the team does:

The IBD Nurse Specialist team are experienced nurses with specialist training in IBD care. They play a key part in your IBD care:

• Assessing and monitoring your condition
• Prescribe medications as appropriate
• Support you when starting new medications
• Provide advice about managing your IBD
• Coordinate your care with other services.

IBD Nurse Specialists also:

• Run nurse-led clinics
• Provide education and self-management support
• Monitor patients on biologic and other specialist treatments
