Collection Point

The Collection Point is the main distribution point at the NNUH for case notes received from and being returned to the Health Records Library. The office is staffed from 7:30 – 16:00 by the Collection Point staff, who are responsible for searching for notes located at the NNUH that are required for A&E and the Mortuary and for undertaking the amalgamation of case notes for double registrations.

The Serco Porters are responsible for distributing case notes and cabinets to specialties and collecting case notes and cabinets from specialties for return to the Health Records Library. 

Out of Hours 

After 16:00, overnight, at weekends and on bank holidays, the Collection Point is manned by the Out of Hours Team who retrieve notes required for emergency admissions (see out of hours service).
