(H1N1) Swine Flu – Pandemic Preparedness Statement

The Trust Board confirms that in preparing itself to meet the anticipated challenges of a (H1N1) swine influenza pandemic, the Trust has:

• adopted a Pandemic Influenza Contingency Planning Framework and Guidance (the 'Flu Plan') approved by the board;
• established a strategic, tactical and operational command structure for flu preparedness in line with that Plan;
• carried out an assessment of preparedness in line with Department of Health guidance.

In light of the above, the Trust Board is assured that the Trust has made and will continue to make appropriate preparations for the management of Pandemic Influenza.
