Infant Feeding Team
What we offer
The clinic provides an opportunity to meet with a Midwife/infant feeding specialist who specialises in infant feeding. They will be able to offer you a one-to-one appointment in an unhurried environment where you can receive individualised information about feeding your baby. The Midwife/Lactation Consultant will also be able to make a plan with you about putting the advice into practice at home. The clinic is for parents however you choose to feed your baby.
How will I be referred?
A referral will be made once you have been seen and supported at home by the Midwife or senior Maternity Care Assistant (MCA) “key worker”. This is a midwife or senior MCA who has undertaken extra infant feeding training.
Pregnant women can also attend before the birth of their baby if their midwife thinks they may benefit from additional support with feeding your baby. The purpose is to perform a full assessment and create a plan with you to positively support your feeding journey.
Who will I see?
A Midwife/Lactation Consultant or Infant Feeding specialist.
