Our Acute Oncology Haematology Service offers a 24/7 Emergency Cancer Helpline. Complications from your cancer or cancer treatment can be life threatening. Please contact this service on 01603 646799 if you experience any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever greater than 37.5 or less than 36
  • Feeling shivery or having flu like symptoms
  • Difficulty breathing or coughing
  • Diarrhoea
  • Vomiting
  • Sore mouth or throat
  • Unable to swallow
  • Bleeding gums or nose
  • Confusion
  • Unexplained bruising
  • Chest pain
  • Painful veins
  • Skin rash
  • Facial swelling
  • Uncontrolled pain
  • Numb or weak leg
  • Severe constipation
  • Problems passing urine
  • Weakness/Collapse
