Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery
The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department provide a service to our paediatric patients in both an outpatient setting and on the ward. The majority of this work deals with poor hearing, blocked noses and sore throats. We run three dedicated paediatric clinics each week, which is supported by our Audiology Department providing “on demand” hearing tests in very young children. Our core surgery for these children is
- Insertion of grommets
- Myringoplasty fixme
- Removal of the adenoids and/or tonsils. Please see these leaflets for further information:
- Tonsillectomy (Child)
- Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy Fixme
- Tonsillectomy (Child)
We also provide a specialist service for rare conditions and perform surgery for choanal atresia, upper airway problems, chronic ear disease and neck lumps. We also participate in a multidisciplinary clinic for cleft palate children.
