"Urgent and Emergency Contacts" provides guidance on who to contact in various medical situations. It advises calling 111 or visiting NHS 111 online for non-pregnancy-related concerns or urgent medical advice. For pregnancy-related concerns up to 28 days post-birth, contact the Maternity Triage/Assessment Unit. For serious or life-threatening issues, call 999 or go to A&E. The document also mentions speaking to your GP at any time during or after pregnancy.

When to call your maternity unit

"Document titled 'When to call your maternity unit' from NNUH Maternity Assessment Unit (MAU). It provides contact numbers for urgent queries from 18 weeks of pregnancy and advises contacting a community midwife or GP for concerns before 18 weeks. It lists symptoms requiring immediate contact with the maternity unit, such as vaginal bleeding, severe headaches, severe abdominal pain, swelling, changes in baby's movements, and vision problems. It also lists symptoms for contacting a midwife or GP, including pain on urination, high temperature, itching, mental health changes, worry, shortness of breath, leg swelling, regular contractions, constant vomiting, and pelvic pain."
