Plaster Room

The plaster room is made up of qualified Orthopaedic Practitioners. We are a small team providing treatment to roughly 10,000 patients per year. We promote a calm and welcoming environment to help your visit.

Our Plaster Room works with the Orthopaedic team providing specialist treatment for chronic pain conditions, as well as stabilisation and management of acute trauma injuries. Support and stabilisation of injuries usually involves rigid casting and, or orthotic devices. You may have wounds/dressing for us to review and change or even the removal of k-wires following surgery, all performed in the plaster room during your visit.

If you are having a cast applied, you will be given the choice of certain colours. You will also be given the cast care information booklet which you can find following this link:

This booklet has all the information you may need while you are in recovery from your injury or condition, while in a cast.

If your question isn’t answered in the booklet, please don’t hesitate to contact the team and we will be more then happy to deal with your queries.
